Carpet & Upholstery Spot Spray

Directions: In the home, all food preparation and eating surfaces and utensils should be covered during treatment, or thoroughly washed before use. Exposed food should be covered or removed. Remove pets, including birds, and cover fish aquariums before spraying. Do not apply to bed linens or surfaces that will be in direct contact with occupants of the bed. Do not apply as a broadcast surface spray.

SHAKE WELL BEFORE EACH USE

Application: Use only as a spot treatment or crack and crevice application in residences. Spray in an inconspicuous area to test for staining or discoloration. Evaluate test area after drying. Hold container upright with nozzle aimed away from you. Spray surfaces from a distance of 8"-10" until slightly damp. Vacate room after treatment and ventilate before reoccupying. Do not allow children or pets to contact treated areas until surfaces are dry. Allow sprayed articles and surfaces to dry thoroughly before using or replacing bedding.

To kill crawling insects: Spray as a crack and crevice application where insects are harboring, moving, or breeding. Treat feeding or hiding areas such as baseboards, carpet, floors, rugs, under refrigerators, cabinets, sinks, and stoves. Also, treat interior entry points such as doors, around windows, and around water pipes.

To kill bed bugs and bed bug eggs: Spray bugs directly when possible. Apply on and around bed frames, headboards, floors, carpeting, baseboards, furniture, moldings, ceiling and walls. For infested mattresses, apply to tufts, folds, edges, sides, and seams until moist. Allow to dry before remaking bed. For infested furniture, apply only to tufts, seams, folds, and edges. Do not apply to surfaces where prolonged human contact will occur. Also for spot treatment of luggage, closets, drapes, and other window or wall areas.

To kill Brown Dog Ticks and fleas: Spray around beds, furniture, and pet's habitat. Spray pet sleeping quarters, bedding, carpeting, floor and floor covering where pets are kept. Use only a recommended pet spray on pets, such as Bayer Advantage Treatment Spray for Cats (item #87720).

To kill dust mites: Thoroughly vacuum entire room concentrating on areas where mites congregate, such as mattresses, box springs, headboards, walls, floors, carpeting, and baseboards. Then spray surfaces until damp.

To kill clothes moths and carpet beetles: Apply as a spot treatment to cracks and crevices on and around baseboards, floorboards, furniture, and around the edges of carpet. Apply as a spot spray to carpet, rugs, closets, baseboards, furniture, or floor and floor coverings. When treating carpets or rugs, spray sufficient amount to get into the base where the larval stages are feeding. Spray both top and bottom surface of rugs or floor covering when possible.

Spray bed bugs directly when possible. Do not make surface applications to mattresses or bedding. Mattress treatments must be limited to seams, folds, and edges only. Do not treat pillows, bedding, or clothing. Remove linens and wash before reuse. Allow treated mattress to dry thoroughly before remaking bed. Remove all clothes and other articles from dressers or clothes closets before application. Allow all treated areas to dry thoroughly before use.

To kill crawling insects and spiders: Spray as a spot or crack and crevice application where insects are harboring, moving, or breeding. Trigger sprayer directions:

  • Turn sprayer nozzle to open.
  • Adjust sprayer nozzle as desired.
  • Hold 8"-10" from the surface to be sprayed.
  • Spray surface until slightly damp.

Household Fogger

One (2 oz) canister of fogger (each can) treats a room up to 16 ft x 16 ft with an 8-ft ceiling or 2,000 cubic feet of unobstructed space.

Apply this product only as specified on this label. Do not contaminate food or feed. THIS PRODUCT DOES NOT CONTROL BED BUGS. This product is intended for indoor residential/non-residential use only. This product is not for use in outdoor residential misting systems. Do not use in aircraft cabins. For use only when building has been vacated by human beings and pets. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the treated areas during application. Do not remain in treated area. Exit area immediately and remain outside the treated area until aerosols, vapors, and/or mists have dispersed. Wait 2 hours after application and then open windows, vents, and doors for 2 hours. If an odor is still detected, additional ventilation is required. Do not use in food areas of food handling establishments, restaurants, or other areas where food is commercially prepared or processed. Do not use in serving areas while food is exposed or facility is operating. Serving areas are areas where food is served, such as dining rooms, but excluding areas where foods may be prepared or held. Prior to using spray applications, cover or remove food, and cover food processing surfaces or clean after treatment and before use. Do not apply more than 1 time per day. Do not apply this product directly into sewers or drains, or to any area like a gutter where drainage to storm sewers, storm drains, water bodies, or aquatic habitat can occur. Do not allow this product to enter any drain during or after application. Remove pets, birds, and cover fish aquariums before use.

Do not use more than one canister per room. Do not use in small, enclosed spaces such as closets, cabinets, or under counters or tables. Do not use in a room smaller than 5 ft x 5 ft or smaller; instead, allow fog to enter from other rooms. Use of a fogger in an enclosed space may cause the product to explode, resulting in injury to people or damage to property.

Before you fog: Remove or cover exposed food and drinking water before application. Remove or cover dishes, utensils, food processing equipment, and food preparation surfaces, or wash them before use. Remove pets, birds, and cover fish aquariums before activating canister. Shut off all exhaust fans and close all windows, doors, and ventilators.

Turn off all ignition sources such as pilot lights (shut off gas valves), other open flames or running electrical appliances that cycle off and on (i.e., refrigerators, thermostats, etc.). Call your gas utility or management company if you need assistance with your pilot lights. Cover wood floors and wood furniture in the immediate area around fogger with newspapers or a drop cloth. Open cabinets, closets, cupboards, drawers, and doors in areas to be treated. Place a chair, small table, or stand in the center of the room to be treated and cover with newspaper. For best results, treat all infested areas. Fill out and place hang-tag on the door to the treated area to alert family and others with access to the treated area not to enter for 2 hours.

To start fogging: SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. Keep container upright. Immediately before activating canister, complete the door hang-tag by filing in the time and date to instruct people not to enter the treated area for at least 2 hours following the time of activation. Hang the tag on the door to the entrance. Point the canister away from face and eyes when releasing (canister sprays straight up). To lock valve in open position for automatic discharge, press valve button down firmly until it snaps into place. Once the canister has been activated, place the canister on the chair, small table, or stand (that is covered by newspaper) in the center of the room to be treated. DO NOT remain in the treated area. Vacate the treated house, individual apartment unit, or other structure immediately. DO NOT re-enter treated area for 2 hours.

Airing out: Wait 2 hours after application, then open windows, vents, and doors for 2 hours. If an odor is still detected, additional ventilation is required. To more effectively kill storage pests and cockroaches, open all cupboard doors and drawers for better penetration of fog. Remove all infested foodstuffs and dispose of in outdoor trash. To kill fleas and ticks, thoroughly vacuum all carpeting, upholstered furniture, along baseboards, under furniture, and in closets. Put vacuum bag into a sack and dispose of in outside trash. Mop all hard floor surfaces.

Yard & Premise Spray

Do not water the treated area to the point of run-off. Do not make applications during rain. All outdoor applications must be limited to spot or crack-and-crevice treatments only, expect for the following permitted uses:

  • Treatment to soil and vegetation around structures
  • Application to lawns, turf, and other vegetation
  • Applications to building foundations, up to a maximum height of 3 feet

Other than applications to building foundations, all outdoor applications to impervious surfaces such as sidewalks, driveways, patios, porches, and structural surfaces (such as windows, doors, and eaves) are limited to spot and crack-and-crevice applications only.

Lawn Flea & Tick Control
To kill fleas and ticks harboring in lawns and backyards. For best results, lawn should be mowed a day or two before spraying. Spray using a slow, even sweeping motion, being sure to cover the entire lawn surface where the pets will normally frequent. Spray under ornamentals and trees, but avoid soaking young or flowering plants. Kills deer ticks on contact.

Keep pets and children out of treated areas until after the spray has dried. Do not spray animals. Dogs, cats, their kennel or bedding area should also be treated with a registered flea and tick control product in conjunction with this application.

How to use the ready-to-spray system

  1. Connect sprayer to hose and turn on water.
  2. Point in the direction you want to spray, turn the sprayer control knob to the ON position, and spray.
  3. To stop, turn the sprayer control knob to the OFF position and turn off the water.
  4. When finished, relieve water pressure by turning the control knob back to ON until the line is depressurized, then turn back to OFF.
  5. Disconnect the sprayer from the hose.
