Double Strength pyrantel pamoate liquid wormer for dogs and puppies. A highly palatable formula and easy to give - dogs love it! Give it directly to your pet or mix with food. For the removal of large roundworms (Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina) and hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum and Uncinaria stenocephala) in dogs and puppies. Fasting prior to or after treatment is not necessary. Most dogs willingly lick the dose from the dish. For finicky dogs, pour over food or administer directly into mouth with Oral Syringes, sold separately. For dogs and puppies only.
The presence of these parasites should be confirmed by laboratory fecal examination. Consult your veterinarian for assistance in the diagnosis, treatment, and control of parasitism.
For puppies: Administer at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 10 wks of age. Treat mother at the same time. Please shake bottle before each use.

Deworming history of newly acquired puppies should be obtained to determine whether additional deworming is needed.
Puppies: Initiate treatment at 2 weeks, repeat at 4, 6, 8, and 10 weeks of age. For a puppy at increased risk, also treat at 12 weeks, and then monthly until the puppy is 6 months old.
Nursing Dams: Treat concurrently with puppies.
Adult Dogs: Treat regularly for prevention. Also monitor and eliminate parasites in pet's environment. For maximum control and prevention of T. canis reinfection, adult dogs kept in heavily contaminated quarters may be treated at monthly intervals.
Newly Acquired Animals: Worm immediately: repeat in 2 weeks, then follow above recommendations.
Dosage: One milliliter (1 cc) for each 2 lbs. of body weight or 1 full teaspoon (5 ml or cc) for each 10 lbs. of body weight.

ProWormer-2 is a highly palatable formulation intended as a single treatment for the removal of large roundworms and hookworms. It is not intended for the removal of tapeworms.
|Q.||Can I use ProWormer-2 on cats?|
ProWormer-2 is designed to eliminate worms in dogs and puppies only. Drs. Foster & Smith carry Piper Worm Wormer, which is designed to eliminate roundworms in cats and dogs.
|Q.||Can ProWormer-2 be used on pregnant dogs?|
ProWormer-2 is not for use in sick or pregnant dogs. ProWormer-2 should be used on the mother after the puppies are born to prevent infestation from cleaning up after her young.
|Q.||How often should an adult dog be wormed?|
Adult dogs that are infested with worm parasites should be dewormed every 2 weeks for 6 weeks or 3 times. We recommend that your pet have an annual fecal exam performed by your veterinarian.
|Q.||What’s the difference between ProWormer·2 and Nemex-2?|
Both wormers contain pyrantel pamoate, which eliminates hookworms and roundworms in dogs and puppies. ProWormer·2 comes in liquid only and may be added to your pet's food; Nemex-2 comes in liquid and tablet form.
|Q.||Do I need to use a heartworm preventive if I give my dog ProWormer-2?|
Yes. ProWormer-2 will only eliminate hookworms and roundworms. It will not prevent heartworm. Always make sure your pet is on a heartworm preventive recommended by your veterinarian.
|Q.||Why do puppies have to be dewormed so much?|
Puppies can become infected with worm parasites while they're in their mother's uterus. They can also be infected by their mother's milk. This is why it is so important to begin deworming your puppies at 2 weeks of age and continue until they have completed nursing.
